Liquids
Some of Gearbulk`s fleet of open hatch box shaped vessels have been fitted with tanks for efficient and safe carriage of liquid pitch or orange juice. The fleet also includes liquid pitch tankers.
Gearbulk Facts:
- Carriage of temperature controlled cargoes
Heating and refrigeration plants are provided to carry these cargoes at the shippers designated temperatures.
Liquid pitch is carried in temperatures ranging from +180°C to +225°C.
Orange juice is carried in stainless steel tanks installed in some of the holds of a vessel.
The temperature during transport ranges between -10°C to +2°C depending on the type of juice involved.
